The historic Stannary town of Tavistock is only 10 miles away. If you like cities, both Exeter Plymouth are within easy reach, with their theatres and other entertainment. For  the garden lovers, the RHS garden at Rosemoor is half an hour away, and the award winning Bowden Hostas only 8 miles away.

Are you a sun and sand worshipper? Many clean and stunningly beautiful beaches in Devon and Cornwall are within striking distance.

If you like active holidays there is a huge variety of things to do, for all ages, and nearby.

Opportunities for walking abound. You can stroll round the town trails in nearby Tavistock and Okehampton, soaking up the historic ambience.
